Another workshop on Women’s Health and Hygiene – with a focus on PCOS at KDDL Ltd., Chandigarh successfully conducted
The information about PCOS has limited to the extent that in most of the cases it remains undiagnosed for a long period of time. As PCOS or Polycystic Ovary Syndrome is one of the most common problems faced by women in India and it is still an unknown term to many.
Lipi Foundation, a not-for-profit NGO, has started addressing the issue by conducting seminars, lectures and workshops on PCOS to spread the information regarding the same. The foundation has successfully conducted a few workshops under their Project Renuka on “Women’s Health and Hygiene – with a focus on PCOS” and they are keeping their spirits up for future workshops. The main aim is to educate as many people as possible with the help of these workshops. Their cause is being supported by Furocyst® and Grecobe®.
On April 20th, 2017, Lipi Foundation conducted another successful workshop at the KDDL Ltd., Chandigarh. 21 participants were made aware about the syndrome. Dr. Mrs. G. K. Bedi from Bedi Hospital & Infertility Center sector 33 Chandigarh was invited as the key speaker for the workshop. She explained the syndrome, its causes and how it affects different aspects of the life of a woman and spent some time answering the queries of the participants including few one-o-one sessions.
In the end Dr Singh thanked Dr Mrs G.K Bedi for enlightening the participants about the syndrome. She also thanked Furocyst® and Grecobe® for empowering them to create awareness for the cause and explained participants about Furocyst which is an innovative U.S. patented product that acts as a dietary supplement, safe for the management of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS). It helps in increasing insulin sensitizing activity & peripheral utilization of insulin thus correcting increased androgen hormones which are responsible for PCOS.
